August Goals

Summer is flying by, and although this summer may look very different from past summers, I think it has provided an amazing opportunity to enjoy the warm weather with a close group of people we love. I hope you can spend August safely soaking up the sun!

I am going through a whirlwind of change right now, so I am little behind on posting my August intentions and goals. I hope you have had a chance to think about what you want to focus on this month. If not, do it today! 🙂 Let’s put our energy towards continuing to evolve into better versions of ourselves.

I am going to set three words to live by this month. Write your three words down and put them somewhere; you see them every day. This is an excellent reminder for you and keeps them at the forefront of your mind throughout the month. It is great to have a mindful reminder. These three words can be anything you want to achieve, work on, remember to do, etc.

Perspective: It is easy to look for and find the negatives in any given situation. I want to consciously make an effort to put what is going on in the grand scheme of things. “Everything you are experiencing at this moment, whatever it is, is exactly what you need for personal growth.”

Manifest: I like the concept of manifestation. I recently started to explore it more and want it into practice in everyday life. “Speak as if it has already happened, and it will.” 

Now: I want to stop worrying about the future and embrace where I am every day. “It’s not about the destination. It’s about the journey.”

My three goals this month are:

  1. Gratitude journal – This month and moving forward, I want to embrace mindfulness practices. I purchased a gratitude journal and have the goal of writing in it every morning and night. I’d love to write a blog post on it if I think it is beneficial (I’ve heard great things)!
  2. Meditation – This is another way I want to incorporate mindfulness. I keep hearing how meditation is so valuable for your overall health, so my goal is to use a meditation app every morning. I want to do a few minutes each day and continue to learn more about the practice.
  3. Development – I am going to pick two things that will further my professional development this month (i.e., online educational course, certification program, informative book, etc.).

    Ooooh I wanna try to get into meditation!! Once corona is over we should go to yoga sometime!! Loved this post❤️

    Awesome post! I know it’s the end of Aug but heading into Sep it’s 1) prayer 2) forgiveness (it’s hard but keep your fingers crossed for me), and 3) exercise.
