Life is too short to be anything but happy! I often find myself (more than usual lately) so stressed out, tense, worried about not only myself but everyone around me, anxious, cranky..the list could keep on going lol. I am at least in one or if not more of those moods almost every day! But then, all of a sudden, that saying will run through my mind randomly and change my mood.
This happened Today. I just got off a stressful phone call that put me in a very grumpy and anxious mood, and then I thought to myself, “calm down Jess, life is too short to be anything but happy.” It’s SO true. We create our mindset, and all our stress, anger, sadness, ect., comes from the way we RESPOND to the situation, NOT the situation itself. Read that again! I never thought about it like this until recently, and it is truly life-changing.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how tomorrow isn’t promised – it’s scary to think about (I know), but it’s true! We all need to take a deep breath, really be mindful, and enjoy every moment we can. Live in the moment! So cliche, but true. Work on your goals, love the ones you love, never go to bed mad, do something spontaneous, and don’t take yourself too seriously. When you find yourself frazzled and burnt out, think to yourself how blessed you are and do something to change your energy/mood. It can be anything – big or small. Quit that job, or take a nice bubble bath lol! I read this quote, “Today, be thankful and remember how rich you are. Your family is priceless, your time is gold, and your health is wealth.” This truly puts everything into perspective. Our lives are all hectic and imperfect, but we can all enjoy the ride a little more! Be grateful and smile through everything life throws at you!
